Mountain biking and road bike touring in Idaho; Northern Idaho is a bicycling mecca, not unlike Moab, Utah. Slight difference; shady woods and magnificent lakes. Since 1999 Ken Barrett, founder of All About Adventures', a licensed mountain bike outfitter in the Idaho north Panhandle, has been all over the Bitterroot, Cabinet, Purcell and Selkirk Mountains in Idaho, eastern Washington and northwestern Montana, primarily by mountain and road bike.

Though not at this time able to guide all the routes you see on the map. Ken is the principal holder of the knowledge and it pleased to dispense. Keep tuned as this page builds with mountain bike data.

Ken is available for custom small group mountain or road bike tours around Sandpoint including Priest Lake State Forest and Farragut State Park. Ken is the contracted outfitter / guide for mountain biking tours or lessons at Schweitzer Mountain Resort.

Ken's ability to convey a sense of 'at ease' to 'absolute thrilling' are legendary. Add his skills in the aspects of road or mountain biking; cross country or downhill, honed of a 43 years of bicycle experience, and he becomes a great choice for a bike guide.
No matter you're just getting on a bike for the first time and need some advice and pointers or you're a USAC Cat 1 looking to get directly to the goods, he's your guy.

*All bike times are custom arranged, tour time is 3-6 hours.
Transportation from Sandpoint to Farragut is available.
Bikes are available for rent, along with helmets.

Farragut State Park, Athol, Idaho. Idaho's largest state park and home to miles and miles of awesome mountain bike singlettrack trails. North side os the site of the WNRS course and the lake's edge offers and more techinical sections and ample oppurtunites to swim in Lake Pend Oreille. EPIC! Easy to hard.

Schweitzer Trails are world-renown for their character which varies from buff and rich to rocky and hard-scrabble.
Primary it includes vertical od some porportion and a matching descent speed-test.

Strong Creek, Hope, Idaho 34 miles 4700 feet climbing. Directions: Hope Market Cafe, Hope Cemetary, USFS Trail 444, Trail 120 Bee Top, Spring Creek Rd, Clark Fork, Hwy 200 west. Very hard. You're on your own for this one!


Ken is always up to something! This year he re-shaped the 10-year run of success with his primary bicycling sponsor SISNA of Spokane, into a new beginning with Sandpoint's Bonner General Hospital. Introducing for July 2011, the Wednesday Night Ride Series: WNRS '11.

WNRS '11
begins Wednesday at 4:30 pm at Farragut State Park's Thimbleberry Campground. (Monahan Rd) The 12.3 mile course made up of flat and rolling terrain with a few moderate climbs; elevation gain/loss is 660 feet. The course is timed and starts are on the minute until 6:30 pm. Times will be recorded on All About Adventures.com The real basis is to beat your time from the week before. The course remains posted for the month. The Eichardt's Free kid's ride will have a marked loop for parents to follow with their kids, this is a great learning tool.

Before and after your work-out Bonner General Hospital nurses will be on hand to counsel you on BP readings and other healthful hints, while bike shop owners and physical therapists can work on your tune up.

After your timed lap you can stick around for the evening raffle which features 15 or more prizes and gift certificates from our generous sponsors. Anyone participating in WNRS will be given one chance for a grand drawing for a tour of their choice, snow cat skiing or snowmobiling with co-title sponsor Selkirk Powder Company! The more series you ride the more your chances of winning; series riders, upon registration, get 5 chances and an All About Adventures commerative mug.
